It is written based on genre-based approach which provides the stages of \u2018Building Knowledge of the Field\u2019, \u2018Modeling\u2019, \u2018Joint Construction\u2019, and \u2018Independent Construction\u2019. In this book, building knowledge is presented in \u2018Instructional materials\u2019 stage where explicit teaching is done by explaining the paragraph components, the technical terms, etc. Model paragraphs are presented in the \u2018Modeling\u2019 stage. Joint construction and independent construction are presented in \u2018Exercises\u2019 stage. The students\u2019 learning activities are mainly done in the \u2018Exercises\u2019 stage that among others covers: 1) \u2018Working with text\u2019, 2) \u2018Let\u2019s create\u2019. In \u2018Working with text\u2019, the students analyze paragraphs, good paragraphs and bad paragraphs. The analysis activities are relevant with case-based learning that aims at promoting \u2018analysis\u2019 competence. In \u2018Let\u2019s create\u2019, the students create paragraphs in pairs, in groups, and individually. These creating activities are relevant with project-based learning that aims at promoting \u2018create\u2019 competence.
